Our Pastor

Pastor Dwayne D. Flood was born in Richmond, Indiana, the second of three sons to Marvin E. Flood of Maricopa, Arizona, and Billie Jean Tyler of Richmond, Indiana. He was saved at the age of eighteen at Bethel AME Church in Richmond, Indiana, and accepted his call to the preaching ministry on September 5, 2004.

He was ordained on August 11, 2013, and has faithfully served in ministry through preaching, teaching, and leadership development. Pastor Flood holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and a Master of Ministry degree from Pillsbury Scarborough Bible College & Seminary.

On January 22, 2022, Pastor Flood accepted the call to serve as Pastor of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since that time, God has used his leadership to bring transformational growth to the ministry. Sunday School attendance has increased more than sixfold, Ministries have expanded by over 40%, and overall membership has grown by more than 325%. His leadership reflects a commitment to spiritual formation, discipleship, and building a thriving, Christ-centered church.

Pastor Flood is known for his deep love for the Word of God and his commitment to sound biblical teaching. He approaches Scripture with diligence and care, striving to rightly divide the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15), and preaches with clarity, conviction, and practical application for everyday life.

He is the proud husband of over 30 years to Latoya Flood, and together they are blessed with four children: Isaiah, Kaleb, Simeon, and Khira.

His favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” His life and ministry reflect this principle, encouraging all to put God first in every area of life.
